Do you want to relieve stress while stuck in the airport? How about getting in a workout instead of grabbing a drink or fast food? It is a healthy way to pass the time during a layover or a flight delay. Some airports such as Las Vegas’ McCarren International Airport has a 24 Hour Fitness in it. Chicago’s O’Hare Airport has an adjacent Hilton with a fitness center. But, if you’re not as fortunate to have a place to sweat out the time, there are things you can do with the items that make it past security.

For the Airport Using your Laptop Bag and Or Purse
- Laptop Leg Lift for the Quadriceps
Hold Laptop Bag so the bottom of it rests lightly on foot, bend knee, lifting leg up and contracting quadriceps. Do 3 sets of 15 on each side.

- Laptop Leg Extension for the Quadriceps
Hold Laptop Bag so the bottom of it rests lightly on foot, bend knee, lifting leg up. Hold this position as you extend leg and contract the quadriceps. Be careful not to lockout the knee. Do 3 sets of 15 on each side.

- Laptop Leg Curl for the Hamstrings
Lift right heel off ground and rest laptop bag lightly on heel. Bend knee and curl knee slowly up toward buttocks. Do 3 sets of 15 on each side.

- Laptop Abductor Leg Lift for Outer Thigh/Glutes
Hold Laptop Bag so it rest lightly along your outer calf. Slowly lift leg out toward the side. Do 3 sets of 15 on each side.

- Purse Upright Row for the Deltoids
Hold handles in an overhand grip and row upwards, bringing elbows to shoulder height. Do 3 sets of 15.
- Purse Curls for Biceps into Tricep Purse Pushback
Hold handle with palm facing out. Keeping abs in and knees slightly bent, bend arm and bring palms toward shoulders in a bicep curl. Unbend the arm back the starting position and then while keeping arm straight press arm back squeezing tricep. Do 3 sets of 15 on each side.

- Standing Purse Crunches
Place arms through straps of purse and hold purse tight toward chest. Bend knees slightly and crunch downward while tightening the abdominals.
