It’s now the middle of February. Have you stuck to your New Year’s Resolution? Are you seeing the progress you wanted? Have you already given up? If you are like most Americans, you have either already stopped pursuing your New Year’s resolution or you are not pleased with your results thus far.

I encourage you at this time to sit down and reassess. Don’t change your resolution; rather you may need to modify your approach. When evaluating your New Year Resolution, determine how you can make it a New Life Resolution. If you are S.M.A.R.T. about your goals you can achieve them!

Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time.

Benefits of sticking to your new life resolution:
*Increased confidence
*Less anxiety/guilt
*Better sleep
*Better health
*Greater self satisfaction

Consequences of not sticking to your new life resolution:
*More frequent failures/frustrations
*Distrusted by others
*Lack of self-esteem/self-confidence
*Inability to self-correct
*Stress

Steps to be successful:
1. Be clear, simple, and specific.
2. Be optimistic and realistic.
3. Fully commit.
4. Write it down.
5. Have discipline and be persistent.
6. Invest in a certified personal trainer and/or nutritional expert!
7. Make it happen!
