This time of year, the weight loss industry makes a frantic push to sell you the various fat burner supplements. I was looking through a popular women’s fitness magazine and saw these advertisements:

Advertisement #1

“Make no mistake about it (product), is a dead serious fat burner. In fact, (product) is so potent we needed extra insurance just to sell it! If you’ve reached a plateau with your current fat burner and are looking for something to truly rejuvenate your fat burning regimen, you’re a great candidate for (product).”

Advertisement #2

“Lose up to 10 pounds in 10 days! (Product) –- the new fast-acting water weight pill that is making it possible for women to shed 3.5 and even 10 pounds of water weight fast so they can squeeze into their sexy jeans, special occasion dresses, bathing suits……..(product) is designed to produce fast, “quick fix” water loss for those who need to lose weight and lose it fast.”

“Lose fat, not control. With many diet plans, your body is chemically stimulated to speed up your metabolism which makes your heart rate jump and you feel jittery. That doesn’t necessarily make you feel healthy when you’re trying to lose weight. Now you have a better choice. (Product) naturally targets fat over muscle without stimulants so you’ll always be in control.”

There are many more advertisements like these just mentioned. You read the magazines just like I do. The real truth remains the same: The best formula for lasting health, fat loss and weight loss is regular exercise, healthy nutrition and healthy lifestyle habits. This formula will spare you from disappointments and will save you money.

THE BEST FAT BURNER IS YOU -- YOUR BODY! Many of these fat burner supplements will be banned by the U. S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Take charge of your own body and get fit and healthy without taking shortcuts that don’t work! Your body will burn fat when you change your body’s composition (more muscle mass, less fat mass). This takes hard work and time!

Build your muscle mass with regular weight training. That is the way to burn the fat on your body (and keep it off). Your muscles will shrink (atrophy) if you don't continue to do strength training (muscle does not ever change into fat). And, the body fat will come back with a vengeance. Fat cells will shrink but they will fill up again when you are inactive for a long period of time.

Use your cardio sessions to burn fat. All it takes is a 20-minute, intense interval cardio session on a treadmill, stair-stepper or on the ground. Do these types of cardio sessions 3-4 times a week.

Get a healthy meal plan and adhere to it at least 90% of the time. Keep a food journal to hold yourself accountable.

Those 3 steps -- weight training, interval cardio and a healthy meal plan -- almost seem too simple. Well it is that simple! Just get it done and keep doing it. Don’t stop. I promise, you will love the way you look and feel.

Still, one piece is missing - your mind. Our minds cause the addiction and our minds can eliminate them.
I learned self-hypnosis and then I had no problem to change my lifestyle and I don't gain weight anymore (knock, knock:))
