The deficiency / lack of hair in the eyebrows can be due to thyroid dysfuction, burn, accident scar, over plucking, or any other medical abnormality. The shape of the eyebrow is extremely important in the overall appearanct of the face. Eyebrow restoration is a sophisticated, delicate and tricky procedure, as eyebrows are more noticeable than the scalp. The procedure takes 3-4 hours to complete. It is a painless procedure and patient can resume normal activities immediately after the procedure (althogh the new hair will be noticeable). Generally 200 – 300 grafts are placed in the female eyebrows and 300 – 400 grafts are placed in the eyebrows of a male patient. The hair is taken from the patient’s scalp (skin of the back side of the head) and these individual hairs are placed into the brow line, where they grow normaly. A doctor who is an expert in the eyebrow hair transplatation is needed to perform this delicate procedure. Dr. Azim Jahangir Khan is personally involved in the procedure, to ensure proper direction and placement of hair follicles.
