I just wanted to write a quick note to say welcome to any and all new members of this group. I am hoping to get some conversations going with women in similar situations that want to vent or just talk to others. I am completely open with anything that you all want to discuss, and I hope to make some friends while I'm here. I have been with my boyfriend for a year and a half, and I have never felt this way about a man in my life...not even my ex husband. I am happy with my decision and would not trade my boyfriend for the world. He does have some growing up to do, but he is very willing and he loves me to death. What more could I ask for?

I'm with Rosa! Also not with a younger man, but whatever makes you happy! Having a close family member who consistently dates younger men, I have to say, comparatively, your situation is nothin'! It may be strange for people that know you, but for anyone that doesn't, I bet they'd hardly even notice or pass judgement. 

It's 2012.. there's many more radical things that you're not "supposed" to be doing! Excited that you're able to let go, & truly celebrate your happiness!

Hi Rosa. Thanks for joining the group! And thanks for being happy for me. Sometimes people read too much into what we are "supposed to be doing" instead of what makes us happy. I am one that doesn't really care too much what other people think and really just need to learn how to make myself smile. I hope that others will feel the same way and come join us!

I wanted to create a group for women like me that are dating/engaged/married to men that are younger than we are. I am 30 and my boyfriend is 25. I have heard so much ridicule and criticism over my choice to be with someone so much younger and less mature than I am. He makes me happy and I should be the one to decide who is or isn't right for me. If there are any of you out there that feel the same way, or want to talk to women with similar lives, this is the place for you! Welcome!
