Keith Carlson and Mary Rives are a husband and wife who both have multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS). They've embarked on a search for safe housing, which means housing that will not do further damage to them in the form of chemicals and toxins.

Both Keith and Mary deal with headaches and confusion after exposure to assorted chemicals and toxins. Both experience asthma, sore throat, hives, joint and muscle pain, and burning eyes.

This would happen at home, at work ... in fact, everywhere chemicals and toxins permeate the environment. The only way to treat the symptoms caused by exposure was to avoid it.

Eventually Keith and Mary decided they needed to leave the environment which was making them sick in hopes of finding safe housing in a benign place.

They have been surprised and disappointed to find only a few places that could be considered safe housing for someone with multiple chemical sensitivity. But they are most appreciative of those few.

Their story of the challenges they face from multiple chemical sensitivity is compelling. I encourage you to let them share it with you.
