Male infertility specialist doctor Bastuba explains if a woman can get pregnant after urinating following sexual intercourse.

Some females wonder, “Well, I’ve had a history of bladder infections and my doctor told me to get up and urinate after intercourse and how long do I have to wait before I can urinate?”

And my answer to that is, after probably two to five minutes I think it’s fine to go and urinate. The urethra actually is more towards the outside of the vagina and so, urinating early after ejaculation shouldn’t have any real impact on the sperm, but again, some males, it takes longer for the sperm to actually come out of the tip of the penis and I don’t think we’d want to interfere with that. So somewhere in the two to five minute range, especially if the male is age 40 or above, might be wise to do.
