In the last week there has been so many stories about the swine flu that I could not listen to one more vague new story about the possibility of a large scale flu illness that was luming in the distance. The unfortunate truth is that people die from the flu every year so all of these stories are not really warranted because they are scaring people all over the country. It is important to get information on how to be safe and I want to give you that story. Here are the symptoms that you want to look out for fever of 100 degrees or more, sore throat, cough, stuffy nose, chills, head and or body aches and fatigue. I would like to mention that these symptoms are similar to the common flu strains that circulate in the spring every year. Most likely if you are not feeling well then you do not have the swine flu. So if you are not feeling well do not panic. If you experience these symptoms go to your doctor to have them run a culture to see if you have the swine influenza virus. This is the safest way to address this situation. The next blog will talk about natural treatments for the flu.
