I just had "Her Option" cryo ablation of my endometrial lining four days ago for heavy bleeding, cramps, anemia with my periods. I'd like to know if there are any other ladies out there who have had this procedure and their experience. Didi it work for you? Did it help with PMS too?

Hi Anonymous on June 15, 2009 - 2:36pm , I'm 47 yrs of age and scheduled for the her option Friday, June 19th. I'm trying to stay postive that this will help; but if not --- I'll have other option done next year. I wish you luck on your day. I'll keep everyone posted of my progress.

I had the her option procedure nearly a week ago. The procedure itself, for me, was incredibly painful. The meds afterwards have helped, but I feel incredibly bloated, especially lower belly.
I had an ablation five years ago (the heat kind), and that helped. Periods were getting bad again after some years of relief. My doctor felt that the her option would be a good alternative to a hysterectomy.
I thought I'd be back to working out and my regular life by now, but I am exhausted. I am going to try to workout tomorrow, but I guess it depends on how I feel.

Hi, I posted back in April 2008. My issue with heavy periods and 47 yrs old. I'm scheduled for procedure June 19th. I sure hope this works. All the ups/downs of 18 day flow and then week nothing then back to light spotting. Wish me luck - I'll let you know what happens.

I had the Her Option done on January 5th. My first period was very heavy, the worst I ever had, which was expected. The next two were next to nothing. My third was again very heavy. I should have gotten my 4th a few days ago. I am just having a little brown discharge. Has anyone had heavy bleeding after not having much of a period at all?

YES! I have! I thought it was great and then WHAM! Now, I'm off work for a couple of days due to bleeding so heavy I can't stand up or walk! I have read it takes 6 months to correct. This is the 6th month. If this happens again I'm either going for another try at Cryo or take it out! Mrs. H

YES! That's the problem I am facing now! It's driving me nuts! No period for 2 months and then WHAM! Gushers! I'm about to say "take it all out!" Going to give it a few more months and then I'm done. 39 years of a period is way too long! Good Luck! Mrs. H

Diane C here. I'm happy to share that my period came this month and was extremely light. 3 days of spotting and one day of flow barely needing a panty liner. I'm totally satisfied with this result. I hope everyone will keep posting from time to time. Good luck!

I had the procedure done exactly two weeks ago. I've been very bloated for the past few days, and I've had some cramping too. The last two days I've been very tired, lightheaded, and sometimes nauseous, but that could be because my period is supposed to begin in a week. I'll keep you posted.

I'm feeling desperate.....i'm 6 weeks after the ablation and I have had continous fluids of some sort coming out. 1st 2 weeks the watery stuff....then I think a period, not too bad.....then brown discharge...then heavy clotting for a 1/2 a day....then brown again...and now a yellow kind thick discharge. UGH.....my doctor says this is all normal and to call in 2 months if it persists. This is not what I expected.....exhausting! My boyfriend asks me every day "how are things down there?". Anyone else this far out and having simular experiences?
