Globe All Wellness, LLC is recalling all of its slimming product, Slim Xtreme™ Herbal, because although it is marketed as a herbal product, it has been found to contain an undeclared drug, sibutramine. Sibutramine was originally marketed as an anti-obesity drug but it was found to cause heart attacks and strokes so it was withdrawn in numerous countries including the U.S. and the UK.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said that it is a threat to consumers because it can drastically increase blood pressure and pulse rate in some patients and may be a significant risk for people with coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias or a history of strokes.

In addition it is not certain if sibutramine is effective in reducing weight.

The problem has occurred because the slimming capsules were being sold by sellers not authorized by Globe All Wellness. The company’s other products such as SLIM XTREME GOLD™ and GELSLIM™ are not affected and can still be purchased.

Customers should return Slim Xtreme™ Herbal to:

Globe All Wellness, LLC

Hollywood, FL 33020
