The President's Cancer Panel support the organic food movement and tighter chemical regulation in a two hundred page report.

"Traditionally, we reduce cancer risks through regular doctor visits, self-examinations and screenings such as mammograms. The President’s Cancer Panel suggests other eye-opening steps as well, such as giving preference to organic food, checking radon levels in the home and microwaving food in glass containers rather than plastic."

The Panel is calling for stronger regulatory laws, and heavier enforcement of laws that are already in existence. Only a small percentage of the 8,000 or more chemicals in the United States are regulated, meanwhile cancers of all kinds are skyrocketing.

The report makes some specific suggestions for pregnant women and small children, and for those who are exposed to chemicals at work.

The Panel's goal is to protect U.S. citizens and the environment from further poisoning of air, food, water and consumer goods.
