Feeling of Guilt

Someone with PTSD suffers from overwhelming guilt or shame. Displaying a self-destructive behavior, such as excessive drinking, is a sign of this disorder. When these symptoms persist for more than four weeks, cause personal distress and interfere with a person’s ability to function, it is very likely that the person has PTSD.
