The Food and Drug Administration has issued a warning to all men, not to use the product Vigor-25. It is marketed as a natural supplement for sexual health but in fact it is not. It is a sexual enhancement drug used to maintain an erection and uses the same ingredient as Viagra. The problem ingredient is called sildenafil and can cause a massive drop in blood pressure. It can also interact with prescription drugs that contain nitrates, including nitro-glycerine.

“This product is dangerous to consumers because it claims to contain only natural ingredients when it actually contains a prescription drug ingredient,” said Deborah M. Autor, director of the Office of Compliance in the FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research. “Tainted products place consumers at risk of injury and death, especially those consumers with underlying health conditions.”

The FDA issued the warning after a 26 year old man died after taking the product. They say his death may be related to Vigor-25 and are still investigating the possibility.

They have found that many products marketed online and in some stores as natural remedies actually have prescription drugs in them and are not genuine natural remedies. Their advice to consumers is that if the product description promises that it will work rapidly or have long lasting effects (of around 24-72 hours) then they are likely to have drugs in them and you should not take them.

If you have a problem in maintaining an erection, or any other sexual health problem, please consult your healthcare provider before buying any products from the internet.

If you have already taken Vigor-25 or another sexual enhancement drug and you think you are suffering an adverse effect, please seek medical help and submit a report to the FDA online at:
