It's really cool that there are so many organizations, programs and products that now benefit breast cancer research. What used to be an underfunded, undercovered issue has now become the pink darling of regular people and corporate gifts alike.
Don't forget, though, that one of the easiest (and least expensive) ways to support breast cancer awareness and research is to buy and use the breast cancer stamps at the post office.
The breast cancer research stamp turned 10 this year; it was issued in June of 1998. To date, the stamp has raised more than $55 million toward breast cancer research and is the top-selling commemorative stamp in history.
Today, the stamp costs 55 cents. The way this stamp works is that it's always priced at a few cents more than the price of a first-class stamp; the difference between the two gets donated. Here's some background:

If you buy a book of 20 regular stamps today, the price is $8.40. Twenty breast cancer research stamps would cost $11.00. If you do that once a month, you've donated $31.20 over the course of the year. That's significant! (And it makes paying your bills just a teeny tiny bit less painful.)
