Australia conducted and published results in 2007 on a 3-month, double-blind randomnized, placebo controlled study where 36 women participated. A daily doses of the male hormone Testosterone was given to postmenopausal women who had undergone a hysterectomy. Those women who were using the cream containing the male hormone reported significant improvement in sexual desire, frequency of sex, receptivity, and initiation. The researchers concluded that the study showed an effective way, easy to use and no side effects treatment to help women with libido problems resulting from hysterectomy and menopause.
