Victoria Torok, the founder of “Elite Mobile Fitness”, had a passion, a vision and at age 59 - with no reservations - took the path less traveled. The end result was the birth of a company that would deliver "elite" personal trainers to her client's homes and at the same time offer an environment for her "elite" trainers where they would be respected and rewarded for the caring professionals they are.
“I have 2 passions in life – dancing and fitness. After way too many years in IT, I tried my hand at a home-based business. I LOVED being self-employed, but HATED the industry I had chosen so I sold my client portfolio and started the search for my next business. Then I had my first epiphany. I had just finished working out and as I was leaving my health club. I looked up and saw a sign that read: "WE NEED PERSONAL TRAINGERS". DUH - I could have had V8! What took me so long to figure it out? I loved fitness! I couldn't educate myself enough about new techniques and trends in fitness. I was constantly helping all of my friends with their fitness goals - FOR FREE! This was it. I could feel it with every fiber of my body and mind. So off I went to get my certification for personal training.
Okay kid - your certified - "What now?" I said to myself. So I did what most newly certified trainers do. I went to work for a "big-gym" - one of the biggest. It only took me four months to realize this was just like the corporate world I fled from in the first place. Quotas were more important than the clients. I was allowed no flexibility in working with my clients. It was a cookie cutter approach to training instead of individualized program design based on age and fitness level. To make matters worse, the trainers were treated with no respect and paid very poorly. And that was my second epiphany. A personal training company that delivered top-notch personal training with all of the care and customization the client deserved - and delivered it to their homes. A company that would seek out cream of the crop personal trainers and respect and reward them like the professionals they are. Elite Mobile Fitness was conceived at that moment, and born shortly there after."
I belive we can grow healthier and stronger as we age. Most importantly, I believe every woman deserves to have the body she desires to live in, and I intend to give everyone of them that opportunity.
