I hear that hCG is the new miracle for losing wieght. Is it safe and how do I sign up!

I have a friend that is using hCG therapy for weight loss. She is getting excellent results. 1) Is this safe - I see that the FDA has not endorsed nor approved it and 2) How do a find a reputable professional to start the process.
