I'm a 21 year old female. I have always had a very irregular period. It can range from 25 days (which only happened like once or twice) up to 40 something days (which isn't very often but isn't a total rarity). Normally it comes sometime between 30 and 35 days. However, its always been very frustrating for me because I never can predict when it will decide to show up.
Anyway, that being said, heres my question. My last period started May 2 and went for about 5-6 days. I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend on May 23 and 24, but he is and always has been very careful about 'pulling out' several seconds before he ejaculates and has never actually ejaculated in me. We had unprotected sex again on May 29 and again he did not actually ejaculate in me, but it there was some on my upper thigh. I don't think any got in me, but its hard to tell.
However, its now June 7, which makes it day 37 and I still have not gotten my period. I have had some PMS symptoms earlier this week (I tend to get migraines in the week or so leading up to my period) but nothing other than that. However, there is one major health stress I've been dealing with - I was diagnosed with mono about a week ago. I've been feeling really tired and under the weather, with a really severe sore throat for about three weeks now. I'm currently on heavy doses of ibprofen for pain and the steroid predisone to take down the swelling in my throat. It has made me totally inactive and tired all the time, and my appetite and eating habits have fluctuated like crazy because of it.
I guess I'm just really really paranoid about being pregnant. I've taken TWO home pregnancy tests (First Response) and both turned out negative (one taken on day 34 and one taken today on day 37). The problem is that since I don't really have a normal 'cycle' per say (that I've ever been able to figure out), its hard to judge when my 'missed' period would start. I'm going to the doctor next Friday so I suppose I could ask then, but its really just making me nervous. Any advice or hints would be great - how likely would it be that I'm pregnant?
