Yeah! I was finally discharged today from CTCA. Now let’s hope that nothing changes over the next 24 hrs. That would be just my luck.
So far I feel pretty good. I slept a good portion of the day. The chemo side effects are starting to kick in. I felt a little nausea all day and was a little drained. Other than that, my back feels much better after the vertebroplasty. When I am running behind schedule on the pain meds I definitely feel the difference.
I stopped by Kim’s room to say goodbye for now and to give them back the balloons they bought me. I think the kids will enjoy them rather than just have the sitting in my house deflating. Her room was jam packed with family and loved ones. Her husband was sitting outside of the room with a couple of his fire fighter buddies. It is amazing the support that she has. I know that a good portion of her family lives on the westside so it’s a little easier for them to visit. I spoke with her mother and she said that today was not a good day. Kim needed to have her lungs drained again and she was having breathing problems. Just looking at her breaks my heart. She is such a strong person and I think has decided to move forward with chemo. She just finished her 9th round of radiation. Please keep her in your prayers for me…
