During the past month, I learned of the CaringBridge website service and began using it to communicate with friends in the US and Canada during a serious illness. The CaringBridge service was developed by a charitable nonprofit organization and is very easy to use. The sites allow connections between people to share information, love and support during a serious health event, care and recovery. The service has now had close to one billion visitors. There are many inspiring stories on the website about the people who have used the service and what it has meant to them to be able to communicate in this manner. I personally found that it saved a lot of time and energy, enabling me to conserve strength that was needed for healing. Like EmpowHer, it's one more way that virtual connections can make a real difference in people's lives.
