I am 27 years old with a 3 year old son. My husband and I have been trying to conceive our second child since July of 2008 with one blighted ovuum pregnancy in December 2008. We did not find out about the blighted ovuum until we went in for our 10 week visit where the doctor found the embryonic sac, but no baby. Now, 9 months later I am 4 days late. This is not normal for me because my monthly cycle is like clockwork. My cycles are exactly 30 days and I know that I ovulated on day 16 of my cycle because I used an ovulation predictor test. Here I am 4 days late using a Clear Blue digital pregnancy test that was negative. I'm curious because I think that implantation may have happened on the day of my expected period. I had quite a bit of mild cramping and I found a slightly brownish/redish tinged mucus when I wiped after using the restroom. This only happened that one time. I'm wondering if it's possible that it's still too early if implantation didn't happen until 14 days after ovulation. My face has broken out, i've been having mild cramping off and on with no bleeding, mild nosebleeds, my breasts are larger and extremely tender and painful, and I've had horrible ongoing heartburn. I'm pretty positive that I'm pregnant, but since I keep getting negatives I'm concerned that maybe it's another blighted ovuum pregnancy. I would appreciate any advice or experiences anyone has had where they had false negatives so late in their cycle.
