After years of heavy periods, clotting and cramping, my doctor is recommending a d and c (scraping) and cryoablation. He says the d and c will remove most of the thickening, and the cryoablation makes it more long lasting. He did a hysteroscope and biopsy which was negative on the lining, but he said its like trying to see down into thick grass, you don't know what's there. Guess he's concerned in the possibility there may be cancer cells under the thickened lining. Has anyone had this combination of procedures? I have fibromyalgia, and severe chronic back pain, so I am deathly afraid of any procedure causing cramps to be permanently WORSE, as a few people have stated. I'm also going for second opinion.
