It was really early in the morning and i was awoken by this massive "migraine." My dad goes to work around 5a.m. and i remember hearing him warm up some coffee. I tried opening my eyes and it was just too painful because of the little light there was. I finally managed to get up and get my mom and dad. This headache was so painful that I was throwing up constantly. This situation continued for days; headaches and vomiting. This began a Thursday. I managed to open my eyes on Friday and to my surprise, I had blurry vision. As the days went by, the headache never went away and my vision was getting worse, I was still vomiting also. Finally, on Sunday my family decided to take me to the hospital. All they gave me was 2 injections. One for the pain and another for the vomiting and the doctor said, "contact your family doctor because it looks like you might suffer from migraines." I had already knew that!! I didnt have a family doctor so my mother was searching for one. Finally on Monday morning my mother made an appointment for me to go on Tuesday morning to a doctor. Well since my vision was technically GONE, i had to have everybody do everything for me. I get to the doctor, he just took one look into my eyes and sent me directly to Imaging. Well, yep it turned out I had blood in my brain. I had a clot and that clot was hemorraging. I got transferred directly to the Emergency Room and the doctor had to fly me to Albuquerque, NM because there was no way I could have a brain surgery in Roswell because there was not a neurosurgeon. That afternoon, already in Albuquerque, they prepared me for surgery the next morning, what they called an AVM sugery. From the time I awoke til the day I left, was just very painful, and the worst experience me and my family had ever been through. It took about a month to get my vision back... I just had one post sugery mishap. I lost my peripheral vision on my left eye. I thank God for giving me the miracle to live again.
