I previously had an HMO insurance while on disability which I was paying $637 a month for and was referred to Dr. X at UCLA by my pain management doctor and was denied. I have seen 3 surgeons who they authorized who have told me there is 45% chance of permanent paralyzation if they did surgery and and have been hospitalized 30 times since Dec of 2007 where all physicians and nurses know me on a first name basis. The ER doctors answer for my parents is to put me in a rest home that can provide my care and pain management. I have T6-T12 herniated with so much calcification they can't even put a needle in for treatment and T6 ruptured and pressing on my spinal cord and now T-12 bulging. To say the least I live in constant pain and help. I am 42 yo and now on a Medical program called Cen-Cal and in the process of being accepted by Medicare and permanent disability. Please help me with any suggestions to getting to Dr.X at UCLA
