I have been on my period for over a month w/ very heavy bleeding an clotting?

Iam 19 years old. when i was 14 i had miscarriage, And ever since then every time I come on my period its usally a month or longer with very heavy bleeding and clotting. Every time I have went to the doctors about it they have told me that they can not figure out what is wrong with me. Is this something I should be worried about?
