At my 10 week ultrasound, my doctor told me that I had a Missed Miscarriage, he said that the ultrasound showed no baby, my gestational sack was empty.
The doctor saw a heartbeat at 6 weeks.
My hcg levels are at 80,000.
I have had ABSOLUTELY NO SIGNS of a miscarriage, no bleeding, no cramping, and all signs of pregnancy - morning sickness, fatigue, cravings, peeing at night etc.
I am having a very hard time accepting this diagnosis. I feel that I am still pregnant, and I have refused a d&c.
My insurance will only insure me through the end of the month unless I am pregnant - even though the doctor has diagnosed this as a Missed Miscarriage, am I still considered Medically Pregnant until the fetus is actually expelled from my body?
I want to have this miscarriage naturally, if it is going to happen, but I will need insurance in case I need to go to the hospital for some reason. It is 1 week before the end of the month, and my doctor said it could take 2-4 weeks for this natural process to take place.
I had a miscarriage 2 years ago and I was hospitalized for 3 days.
I am 41 years old, and I have no children, just 1 other miscarriage.
I do not want to have a D&C for fear that it might further hurt my chances of becoming pregnant again.
I hate that I even have to consider insurance during this highly emotional time.
