Young people with cancer often have difficulty finding support services that are geared to their unique needs. This is getting better, but there is much more to do. If you spend time around them you will often find that people in their 20's and younger bring a different perspective to the table, and it's often one that's inspirational and seems well beyond their years.
Here's one example. There's a wonderful story in the (Phoenix) Arizona Republic about a teenager who's fighting cancer and decided to throw a "going away party" to say goodbye to friends and family. Nineteen year old Ethan Mills wanted to be able to share last memories of having a good time, and more than 400 people gathered together to celebrate his life.
You can read the story here, and then let us know your thoughts on what he did.
