Elizabeth Lyons has pondered, and has some advice for her younger self. She wouldn't mind at all if you took this advice too. Because it is reassuring advice, that really only encourages you to trust yourself and choose the path that is unique to you.
Elizabeth would also encourage her younger self not to feel obligated or pressured to follow the advice of others, even well-meaning family. And she'd give the same advice to you.

Parenting: What Advice Would You Give Your Younger Self?
Elizabeth Lyons:
If I could go back to my younger self, I recently saw a blog post somewhere that circulated like wildfire, and it was about someone who had written a letter to her younger self.
And it was so smart and it made me think about all the things that I would say to my younger self.
And when it comes to parenting I would unconditionally tell myself to trust myself, don’t listen to what everyone around me, family, very well-meaning family, I might add, very well intentioned family, but they did it their way and now it’s time for me to do it my way. So that would be one thing I would absolutely tell myself.
Women have to remember that we are all unique and we are all here for a very special purpose. So what works for me may not work for my next door neighbor and vice versa.
People think what I do is ludicrous. I have five kids. I run two companies. I have written three books, but those things for me, that’s me. That’s who I am.
I don’t expect other people to do that unless that’s what they want to do. But everyone needs to really pay attention to who she is, and honor who she is, and trust who she is, and create the life for herself that makes the most sense to her.
The minute that you do that so much anxiety just completely melts away.
