Please don't judge, I messed up big time by having sex with someone outside of my monogamist relationship and just found out I contracted herpes from him. I didn't know I caught the disease and had unprotected sex with my long term partner, though at that time I wasn't showing symptoms as far as I know. Is it possible my long term partner also has the disease now...? I know I made a big mistake, just please respond with scientific answers... I don't need to feel any worse.
