My boyfriend had a physical and was diagnosed with Trich, so he told me I should get checked. I did notice the swelling,frothy discharge, some slight discomfort urinating and strong odor more than usual but I figured it was because we were having sex so frequently and the worst would be a UTI. Well, when I went to the doctor I explained my symptoms and informed him that my boyfriend just got diagnosed with Trich. Well, the doctor came back and said you don't have Trich but you do have Bacterial Vaginosis which is not sexually transimitted. So now I'm confused because how is it possible that I have BV and not Trich but my boyfriend of over a year has Trich? Can BV cause Trich? Can Trich cause BV? Can someone help before I jump to conclusions?
