Ok, here goes - I got my period July 16, and have been off of birth control for about 2 or 3 months now. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex a week after my period, and since I can't afford the Plan B pill, I went ahead and took 4 birth control pills (lo estrin 24 fe) 2 days later (I still had half a pack left from when I was taking them). A couple days after taking the pills, we had unprotected sex again, but right after I took 2 pills. Basically, we played Russian Roulette. (I went 2 years without ovulating and never got pregnant before I got on birth control, but since I've been off I've been having regular periods and I guess I'm trying to cover up for not playing safe.) It's been 3 days and I was cramping lightly at work today, and as I figured, my period had started 2 weeks early. It's very dark brown in color, not red at all. It's not heavy either, just light enough for a pantyliner or lite absorbency tampon. Am I bleeding from taking my birth control irresponsibly? Is there a good chance I'm in the clear from being pregnant? I will consult with my doctor in a few weeks just to make sure, but I'd rather have someone tell me their honest opinion.
