I'm 28 years old with severe endometriosis (diagnosed at 24 yrs old), I just had my 3rd laparoscopy done on friday due to stomach pain. I had part of the left ovary removed a couple years ago with a laparotomy, & kept getting endo cysts which I had the other 2 laparoscopies.
with my 3rd laparoscopy my dr. decided he had to remove my remaining left ovary. I'm wondering how does having 1 ovary effect me? will it mess up my ovulation totally. would it help me to take estrogen pills? is there anything I should do different?
I have my follow-up appt. in 3 wks.
Any advice or suggestions would be helpful.
