I am on the antidepressant Effexor. I am also on Clonazepam, Buspar, and Lamictal. I did well on them intitially as we increased doses to therapeutic level. I used to be more physically active and I retired 4 years ago. The past 6 months to 1 year I have become very forgetful as to where I place things then can't find them, I can't memorize a series of numbers to enter into an email form, my cognitive process has slowed down dramatically, I have difficulty understanding and learning new concepts, andI have trouble with word finding. I used to be an RN and was constantly multi tasking but I can't do that any more. I still get out and walk, I read, and I do crossword puzzles occasionally. My depression is pretty much under control but it seems lately I need a nap every afternoon. I am very frustrated as my husband notices the changes and as patient as he is he gets upset with these changes. I'm wondering if there is more going on
like beginning Alzheimers. I have a history of prescription drug addiction but I am succesfully in recovery.
