I had tests done for claudication/blockage in the veins and nerve damage and both came back negative. My pain I don't feel like it's in my bone but it occurs deep inside to the right of my bone in the lower shin area right a few inches above my ankle.

I also get a tingling in my foot. The pain comes and goes; the longest and worst case was on and off for an hour - it was like a shooting sharp pain deep inside. The tests described above came back negative. Do you think this could still be shin splints and would I need an xray to determine if its such? This has been going on and off for a couple years and the pain is so excrutiating that I was brought to tears already by it.
