I developed pain in the left side of my left foot after walking my dog and training her to heel. I would walk until she pulled then I would stop and stomp my foot. The next day my foot started hurting and within 3 days I couldn't put any weight on the back of my foot at all. I could still walk on my tip toes on that side, but after a few more days that was causing other parts of me to hurt too ( my calf, my hip, and my toes). I went to the doctor when it started aching even when I wasn't on it, and it was waking me up at night with pain. She looked at it (not swollen or red) and had an X-Ray done, but the x-ray showed nothing. She gave me a perscription for crutches and instructions to stay off it. I'm a mom and home maker, I don't have the option to stay off my feet. So I have used the crutches the best I can now my sides hands and arms hurt too from the crutches. I tried soaking my foot in warm water and that made it worse...so I found that icing it helps most....I know I'm only supposed to keep the ice on for 20 minutes, but it numbs it so well I try to keep it cold all the time. It's been about 2 weeks now, and I'm not sure what else I can do. Any advice?
