I have been diagnosed with ectopic pregnancy in my 6th week and laproscopy has been performed the next day to remove the sack.Though I had severe pain the first 3-4 days due to gas in my upper chest and shoulders the pain subsided. I got my period on 4th day after my operation and lasted for 3-4 days like a normal period.I felt as if I was getting better and better day by day and nearly after a week after my operation I felt almost normal. But the whole of second week, I still continued to have the pain or felt there is increase in pain. I feel the pain whenever I walk or roll in the bed.The pain is in the abdomen below my chest and above my hip bone. The pain at times is transient like a shooting pain either on the left or right side , just below my chest on the right side, end of the rib cage on the left side and to the right of my belly button.
I met the doctor who said that usually it just takes a few days to become completely normal. He had done a sonograph and confirmed that there is no infection in my ovaries or uterus. He prescribed Danzen and some pain killer for 3 more days and asked me to visit him after a week.I have a pot belly which folds at the belly button and just want to know if this caused the gas to be retained in my abdomen. As the pain occurs at various points below my right chest, end of left ribcage, across the belly button, I cann't pinpoint one area of issue. There is also this constant stich on the right side near the operated area whenever I walk. Please let me know if this is of any concern or will I be normal in few days. Please let me know if I need to visit another doctor.
