I am 41years old and in 2000 I had my uterus out and the first 6months I had hot flashes but they settled down and finally quit within that 6month time frame. Now in 2009 I had my ovaries and tubes out and ever since then I have had severe hot flashes no matter what time of day/night or season. I was first put on Premerin but stopped it due to the fact that it can cause cancer. What can I do to prevent or ease up the hotflashes?
My husband doesn't understand it. He doesn't think that I should be so hot all the time. I get a flush all over me and I am so hot from the inside out and sweat just pours off of me. It doesn't matter if it is morning, noon, evening or middle of the night. Sometimes I feel like I am on a 24hr. hotflash. I don't even need the heat in the winter time. I sleep in one room and he sleeps in the other. He needs the heat and I need a fan. Can someone please tell me what I can do toget us back together and to ease my discomfort. Not only is it uncomfortable but it is embarassing when out in public. I will appreciate any and all responses. Thank you so much for listening.
