I am currently 32 weeks pregnant and since the beginning of this pregnancy i have and the doctors have been aware of a large complex ovarian cyst. Currently the cyst measures 13.8mmm x 9mm. until 3 weeks ago doctors where happy to just watch this cyst but it has grown.
Now the doctor would like to perform a c-section at 37 weeks and also take the cyst and more than likely my right ovary with it.. I had my first child naturally and the thought of a normal c-section scares me let alone someone taking out part of my ovaries. I am just wondering what sort of recovery time i am looking at and what sort of c-section will be used weather i will be awake for it or not. And any other relevant information on this topic.
Please help if you have been in this situation or if you are a medical professional and can give me some sort of information.
