I have been on the birth control pill, microgestin, steady for the last year. I have had months that were both heavy and light bleeding, never break through though. Usually it would switch off from heavy to light every other month and no matter what it would last anywhere from 3 to 5 days. For the last two months I have had the litest periods ive ever had. Last month it lasted not even a few hours and this month maybe a half a day. Last month being worried I might be pregnant I took a test came out negative. I have had both months all the symptoms of my cycle, the bloating, cramping, breast tenderness, ect but not the normal bleeding. I have a history of ovarian cysts but havent had one in over a year and a half and it doesnt hurt as bad as when I had them in the past. I worried I might have serious issues and I dont know if I should go see a doctor or if this is normal on the pill.
