I understand that this is a womens website, but I recently went to the E.R with my boyfriend a couple days ago. He has had a fever for 7 days (highest was 101.5). In the E.R. they diagnosed him with a growth on his liver and pleurisy. The only thing they prescribed him with was Motrin 800. The doctor said the growth should go away on it's own. Is that true? What can cause liver growths? (by growth I mean a bump). They did a sonogram and x-ray and found pleurisy and the growth on his liver. But they said the pleurisy doesn't seem to be caused by a viral infection. I don't know what's going on, his fever is not going down and it's been a week since he's been sick. He doesn't have insurance, and I am extremely worried. What are the causes of pleurisy and liver growths? What causes liver growths? What are the complications of these two things?
