I have had a "virus" since mid july-been tested for mono-lymes-lupus-ms-malaria-west nile (because I was bitten by misquitoes right before I became ill)- hepatitis- auto immune disorders-HIV- syphliss-had a ct scan for brain and sinus normal-went to ENT to have a scope of my throat and nose which was normal-kidney and liver normal- the only abberation in my blood work is slightly elevated white counts- which seem to be a little better now but not normal yet- it started w nausea-extreme headache- sore throat- swollen neck glands- EXTREME fatigue (I have NEVER been that fatigued in my life- could not even take a shower- needed help to walk to bathroom-the first bout lasted 6 weeks- I got a little better 1 sept to 18 sept (I had a flu shot during this interval- can this trigger an immune system response?)- then I had a relapse- the relapse wasn't as bad but still pretty disabling- I am starting to feel better again (1 month this time) but only about 50% better- my PC stands by her dx as a "virus" although she says she may dx chronic fatigue if I have this for 6 months- does this sound like a reasonable dx- I have never heard of a "virus" lasting this long and not being able to diagnos it? I also had a mammogram on Sept 1 (I had been diagnosed w breast cancer 1 year ago and they wanted to make sure it was not recurring- the doctor is definite that it is NOT) I have tried everything to get over this- but not knowing what is - its the really frustrating part- any advice?
