I don't know which is better for me, Boniva IV or Forteo?

I was diagnosed with osteopenia when I was 16, and I am now 19 and it progressed into osteoporosis.
My numbers are -2.9 in my neck, -1.6 in my spine, and -2.3 in my hip. I don't know what these numbers really mean for someone my age other than osteoporosis, of course.
My gynecologist suggested Boniva IV or Forteo injections as treatment.
I told her I would have to think about it.
She kept leaving the room to ask another doctor for his opinion (my gynecologist is really young), the other doctor said Reclast. I will not do reclast at all. I have heard too many horror stories, and will not put myself in that possible position.
I just want to know which is better for me, as she could not give me a clear answer, and told me the choice is mine, but she started leaning towards the Forteo.
If anyone has gone through any of these treatments, I would like to hear your experiences.
