Hi, Their is something I really would like to know about which is I experience symptoms of hypothyroidism and I when I've been to an endocrinologist for this matter I had blood test for many reasons and she told me everything is normal.
Since everything is normal I still experience these symptoms. I know a certain doctor who told me thyroid and Iodine are important together and when I mentioned this to my primary physician they didn't quite understand why iodine is important. I know two different doctors who gave me a bunch of information about thyroid and iodine are important and that I need to have Iodine. I want to know what do you think is best I can do? Is their something I can say to my primary physician to make them understand to test me for Iodine?
I'm very intolerant to the cold weather and I know it's a symptom of hypothyroid. I actually did an Iodine self test by putting Iodine antiseptic tincture on my skin and said if up to 24 hours it goes away means your defficient in Iodine. I tried this and mine went away by end of the day. I got surprised by trying this.
I really appreciate your opinion in what I can tell my doctor.
Thank You,
Melissa
