I am 33 years old and I have about 7 fibroids. I look like I am 8 mths pregnant, but I am asymptomatic. I have no heavy bleeding, I'm not in pain all of the time, I'm not Anemic, I don't even have long menstrual cycles and I only flow heavy and cramp the first day of my cycle. I do experience pain during sex, but other than the weight of my stomach and occasional painful bouts of gas, I have no other symptoms. I have never tried to get pregnant before and I chose to wait to have kids. My doctor is in awe of my fibroids and told me that I should just try getting pregnant instead of having a removal and waiting to heal before trying, she thinks I'm too old for that because I'll be 34 next month. The only thing that I have been told about the location of the fibroids is that if I wanted to do a removal they would only go after one of them and it is the largest one at 20 cm and the one that should be causing me to have problems with bleeding and pain. I can only assume that since I can see and feel most of them, (my stomach is lumpy), that they are in the lining of my uterus. I'm wondering if a baby would have room to grow inside of my uterus with all of these tumors. I have gotten them to stop growing by switching to an organic diet and coming off of caffeine, I stopped eating beef and I upped my intake of green vegetables. With the weight of my fibroids my uterus has tilted and my cervix is either towards my back or my bladder I'm not sure but for the past 2 years my doctors haven't been able to reach it. I've been tested for cancer and I show no signs of any diseases pertaining to the fibroids and my organs have shifted around the tumors as if I were pregnant. But is pregnancy an option for someone like me?
