Hi there,
I have been on birth control pills for six years now and have never had any symptoms, problems, and have never missed more than one day's pill. Recently, however, I finished my inactive week and was not able to get a new pack of pills until Wednesday of the next week (which should have been my first week of pills). Since I am a Sunday starter, I waited until that Sunday to start my new pack. This meant that I went two weeks without pills, my normal inactive week plus one additional week. I do realize that there is a chance I could be pregnant since I went a week without pills. I have taken my whole first week of pills now that I have them, but am wondering if I should continue. I would hate to be taking pills if I did become pregnant. When should I take a test? Will the fact that I have taken pills influence the results of the test?
The chance of pregnancy is ok with me because, though we were not planning it just yet, my husband and I have been talking about trying for a baby. I just do not want to do anything that would jeopardize the health of a baby if by some small chance I had become pregnant, and would like to know as soon as possible.
Thank you!
