Day 18, 69% Waning Gibbous
Mood: Joy
I don’t know about you, but I haven’t had a real day off for quite some time. Since I went back to school, my weekends had become the opportune time for me to catch up with study and unfinished work from the week.
But I’ve come to realize that this is not sustainable, that it had begun to take a toll on my health and happiness, and that I really missed a day without emails, work or study, a day of rest, relaxation and play – a lazy day.
So I decided to start a new resolution by designating Saturdays as my lazy days. I’ll wake up when my body is ready to get up. Read, have tea, play, enjoy myself, and take my time. And I’ll turn off my phone and emails.
I had a delightful lazy day yesterday. It was sweet to take a break from the to-do list, to just be.
Do you have a lazy day? What are some of things you enjoy doing most – things that make you smile and make your heart sing?
