Day 22, 26% Waning Gibbous
Mood: Accepting – Just doing what’s in front of me
This morning when I went to school, I sensed a good amount of stress – my own and stress from those around me. During a break, a classmate asked me how I was doing. “One day at a time,” I replied.
I find that attitude a good strategy to help reduce stress and keep a stable state of mind. If I think of the future too much, I may add to my worries. But if I focus on today, and concentrate on what’s in front of me, then I usually feel pretty okay.
Stress: It’s so easy to get stressed in a success and achievement-oriented culture like ours. Nothing seems to be enough. There’s always more to do, more to have, and more to achieve. It really takes a conscious effort to keep our stress at a healthy, manageable level, and keep a balanced and calm state of mind.
