My husband had his prostate removed thinking we caught his cancer early enough, however, the post-op pathology report states cancer was no longer encapsulated in the prostate and mentions HGPIN. His presurgical PSA was 3.9 and Gleason was 3+3. Post-op Gleason 3+4 and PSA test won't be done until 5-6 weeks after surgery. If his PSA confirms the cancer has spread what are treatment options and what would be the outcome regarding urinary and fecal continence?
