My dad (who is 66 years old) had a bad case of strep throat. It continued on for about 2 weeks and he kept complaining of his throat hurting and that it hurt to swallow. He then went to the doctor and they took a cat scan of his neck. He has a mass on the right side of his interior neck and three small ones in his thyroid gland. Could it be infection or possibly thyroid cancer? If so, which thyroid cancer could he have?
