Over 2 million new cancer cases were linked to infections in 2008. Only 7.4% were reported in more developed companies and 22.9% were in less developed countries. The research blames many cancer cases on Human Papillomavirus, Hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and the stomach bacterium Helicobactor Pylori. HPV is preventable by the vaccine approved through the U.S. food and drug administration for boys and girls ages 9 - 26.
